Hanagoromo refers to the kind of fancy kimono that Japanese women would wear for cherry blossom viewing. It's like dressing up in one's Sunday best in the West.

Kaishi is a type of minowashi that used to be carried around folded in a pocket / tugged inside the front fold of a kimono. Its use as memo sheets or tissue papers dated back to the Heian period (8th century~12th century).

Nowadays, kaishi is mainly used as a napkin or a decorative sheet for sweets served during tea ceremonies, for memo writing, journaling and so on.
